Fly Casting Courses

Introductory Fly Casting

Designed for the novice fly caster or the individual who would like to tune up their technique after a long winter. This program focuses on proper use of equipment and using the student's body in balance in order to lay out a reasonable amount of fly line. Topics include proper equipment rigging, grip on the rod, stance, false casting, the overhead cast, the roll cast and shooting line. Students should bring their own rods and gear. If need be, equipment can be rented from the shop. A 10% discount will be given toward the purchase of in-stock rods and tackle during the course
